High Commission in Ottawa Participates at Embassy Fair organized by University of Ottawa
The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Ottawa participated at the Embassy Fair organized by the University of Ottawa Students' Union (UOSU), on 27th November 2024. The event provided a platform to connect with international and local students of the University and helped promote Sri Lanka's rich cultural heritage.
The High Commission's booth featured an array of Sri Lankan products, including premium Ceylon tea, intricately handcrafted goods, vibrant batik clothing, and tourism promotional materials attracted over 300 students.
The participants also enjoyed a taste of Sri Lanka’s culinary delights, traditional Sri Lankan tea, biscuits, and other specialties.
The High Commission’s participation also showcased Sri Lanka's unique blend of tourism featuring beautiful beaches, wild life, heritage and hospitality capturing the interest and curiosity about Sri Lanka.
The High Commission was the only foreign Mission that participated at the Fair, which was appreciated by the University of Ottawa.
